Announcing the Sonoma County Energy Independence Program!
Sonoma County has launched their Energy Independence Program (SCEIP), in which Sonoma County residents can switch to clean, green solar power for zero money down! This breakthrough program allows all property owners in Sonoma County the ability to finance the cost of their solar power system with low interest loans through a voluntary assessment on their property taxes. By implementing this program, Sonoma County is one of the first counties in the country to create a municipal financing program for solar energy using Assembly Bill 811 (AB 811). This innovative measure enables cities to create private financing agreements for solar systems with County residents through bond financing.
Sonoma County’s Energy Independence Program (SCEIP) makes solar accessible to all:
- No money down
- No credit check
- Immediate savings with loan payments lower than your current electricity bills
- Available for both Residential and Commercial Properties
- Funds are limited and distributed on a first come, first served basis
The Sonoma County Energy Independence Program is just one example of how powerful programs like AB 811 can be in promoting clean, solar power. When these city solar financing programs are combined with new economic stimulus incentives that cut the cost of your solar system by up to 50%, there has never been a better time to go solar.
